I’m Gemma, a 24 year old English and Creative Writing graduate from the UK.
Spending three years studying English and Creative Writing meant that, while I was introduced to a wealth of literature, I had little time to read books that I chose to read. I loved my degree, but since graduating it’s freeing to be able to choose the books I want to read next for myself. Yet, I really don’t want to stop analysing, questioning, and having conversations about books. This blog is a place for the conversation to start; a place where I can review, analyse, and question the books I read.
This blog is also a place for me to document the books I’ve read. Having been a reader for many years, I’ve read a countless number of books, but I can’t remember them all or what I thought of them. This blog is an opportunity for me to record my thoughts on the books I read.
It’s so cool that you studied English & Creative Writing – as a freshman at university pursuing an English major I see what you mean about not being able to choose the books you read, even if they are intellectually stimulating. Looking forward to reading more of your writing and your thoughts.
